balinm, I I In old law. Protection; custody; guardianship; bail or delivery; the delivery or bailing of a person out of prison, under sureties for his appearance. Bail- or sureties for a defendant's appearance, and to whom he was delivered for safe keeping. Delivery of goods. An outer bulwark of a fortified place; the area, or court-yard, contained within such inclosure.
