or DEADLY FRUDE. A German word, signifying implacable hatred, not to be satisfied but with the death of the enemy. Such was that among the people in Scotland and in the northern parts of England, which was a combination of all the kindred to revenge the death of any of the blood upon the slayer and all his race.
