To leave one’s home, residence, or known place of abode, or to conceal one’s self therein, with intent, in either case, to avoid detection or punishment for some publi¢ offense. 3 Dill. 381; 48 Mo. 240. “FLEE TO THE WALL.” <A metaphorical expression, used in connection with homicide done in self-defense, signifying the exhaustion of every possible means of escape, or of averting the assault, before killing the assailant.
