Whatever may supply wants; particularly applied to tools, utensils, vessels, instruments of labor; as, the émplements of trade or of husbandry, 23 lowa, 359; 6 Gray, 298. to avoid the risk of making fruitless voyages, merchants have been in the habit of receiving small adventures, on freight, at so much per cent., to which they are entilled at all events, even if the adventure be lost; and this is called “implicatu.”
