A Dictionary of Law

In Roman law. The right of death, or of putting to death. A right which a fabher anciently had over his children.

Jus non habenti tute non paretur

One who has no right cannot be safely obeyed. Hob, 146, Jus non patitur utidem bis solvatur. Law does not suffer that the same thing be twice paid.
