In Spanish law. The name of a code of laws, more fully described as “Zag Siete Partidas,” (“the sevwn parts,” from the number of its divisions,) were the customary law of all the prov inces, the canon law ag there administered, and (chiefly) the Romau law. This werk has always been regarded as of Lhe highest authority in Spain and in those countries and states which have derived their jurisprudence from Spain.
