I. A general term, now commonly applied to all kinds of sailing vessels, , though formerly restricted to the smaller vessels.

A trade or occupation of the sort requiring skill and training, particularly manual skill combined with a knowledge of the principles of the art; also the body of persons pursuing such a calling; a gulld.

Guile, artful cunning, trickiness. Not a legal term in this sense, though often used in connection with such terms as "fraud" and "artifice."
