Black's Law Dictionary

This term, according to Lord Coke, is most commoDl; used where lands and tenements are devised, and "testament" where it concerns chattels.

Co. Litt. 111a.

Both terms, however, are now generally employed in drawing a will either of lands or chattels.

See Reagan v. Stanley, 11 Lea (Tenn.) 322; Hlill v. Hill, 7 Wash. 409, 35 Pac. 360.
