Complete property, as opposed to feudal tenure. The transposition of the syllables of "odhal" makes It "allodh" and hence, according to Blaekstone, arises the word "allod" or "allodial," (q. v.) "Allodh" is thus put In contradistinction to "feeodh." Mozley & Whitley.
