Regalia

Seems to be an abbreviation of "jura regalia," royal rights or those rights which a king has by virtue of his prerogative. Hence owners of counties palatine were formerly said to have "jura regalia" in their counties as fully as the king in his palace.

Some writers divide the royal prerogative into majora and minora regalia, the former including the regal dignity and powor, the latter the revenue or fiscal prerogatives of the crown.
