Black's Law Dictionary

To vest again. A seisin is suid to revest, where it is acquired a second time by the party out of whom it has been divested.

1 Rop. Hush. & Wlfe, 353.

It is opposed to "divest." The words "revest" and "divest" are also applicable to the mere right or title, as opposed to the possession.
