One of the four terms of the courts. It is now a fixed term, beginning on the 15th of April and ending on the 8th of May in every year, though sometimes prolonged so late as the 13th of May, under St. 11 Geo. IV. and 1 Wm. IV. c.

From November 2, 1875, the division of the legal year into terms is abolished so far as concerns the administration of justice.
