Incriminate

To charge with crime; to expose to an accusation or charge of crime; to involve oneself or another in a criminal prosecution or the danger thereof; as, in the rule that a witness is not bo,und to give testimony which would tend to incriminate him.

— Incriminating circumstance. A fact or circumstance, collateral to the fact of the commission of a crime, which tends to show either that such a crime bas been committed or that some particniar person committed it. Davis v. Slate, 51 Neb. 301, 70 N. W. 984.
