The law of the place. This may be of the following several descriptions: Lex loci contractus, the law of the place where the contract was made or to be performed ; lex loci actus, the Jaw of the place where the act was done ; le loci rei sitæ, the law of the place where the subject-matter is situated ; lex loci domicilii, the law of the place of domicile.
