Black's Law Dictionary
A body of statutes which have been revised, collected, arranged in order, and re-enacted as a whole. This is thedegal title of the collections of complied laws of several of the states, and also of the United States. Such a volume is usually cited as "Rev. Stat," "Rev. St.," or "R. S."
