A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States

The buttings and boundings of land, on the north or south, east or west, showmg on what other lands, rivers, highways, or other places it does abut. More properly, it is said, the sides of land are adjoining, and the ends abutting to the thing contiguous.
