A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States

criminal lav, is a request by one person to another to fight a duel. It is a high offence at common law and indictable as tending to a breach of the peace. It may be in writing or verbally. Vide Hawk. P. C. b.
