A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States

civil law, are goods voluntarily abandoned by their owner; he must, however, leave them, not only ste spe revertendt, but also sine antmo fevertendt; his intention to abandon them may be inferred by a great length of time during which he may have been out of possession, without any attempt to regain it.
