A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States
med. jur., is the science which treats of the functions of animals; it is the science of life. The legal practitioner who expects to rise to eminence, must acquire some acquaintance with physiology. This subject is intimately connected with gestation, birth, life and death. ‘wooden machine in which the neck of the culprit is inserted. This punishment has been superseded by the adoption of the penitentiary system in most of the states.
