Small rectangular pasteboards, on which are figures of various colors, used for playing certain games. The playing of cards for amusement is not forbidden; nor is gaming for money, at common law; Bish. Stat. Cr. § 504. One who obtains from another a sum of money by a fraudulent use of cards is guilty of larceny; State v. Donaldson, 35 Utah 90, 99 Pac. 447, 20 L. R. A (N. S.) 1104, 130 Am. St. Rep. 1041. Cards are a gambling device; State v. Herryford, 19 Mo. 377; State v. Lewis, 12 Wis. 434.
