In French Law. A partnership in which some furnish money, and others furnish their skill and labor in place of capital. A special or limited partnership. Those who embark capital in such a partnership some of the partners only, It Is said to be Just that those win are unknown should lose only the capital which they have invested, from which alone they can receive an advantage. Under the name of limited partnerships, 6uch arrangements are now allowed by many of the states; although no such partnerships are recognized at common law. Troubat, Lim. Partn. cc.
