To pronounce, word by word, what is meant to be written by another. It is thus defined in the Louisiana code, which provides that the testator may dictate his will; Hamilton v. Hamilton, 6 Mart N. S. (La.) 143. The presentation, by testator, of times supply the want of dictation; Prendergast v. Prendergast, 16 La. Ann. 219, 79 Am. Dec. 575.
