EX CONTRACTU (Lat). From contract. A division of actions is made in the common and civil law into those arising ex contractu <from contract) and ex delicto (from wrong or tort).

EX DELICTO (Lat). Actions which arise iu consequence of a crime, misdemeanor, or tort are said to arise ex delicto: such are actions of case, replevin, trespass, trover.

EX DOLO MALO (Lat). Out of fraud of deceit. When a cause of action arises from fraud or deceit, it cannot be supported; ex dolo malo non oritur actio.
