To parcel is to divide an estate. Bac. Abr. Conditions (O). The word “parcel” is not a sufficient description of the property alleged in an indictment to have been stolen. The prisoner was indicted for stealing “one parcel, of the value of one shilling, of the goods,” etc. The parcel in question was taken from the hold of a vessel, out of a box broken open by the prisoner.
