To waive or bar an appeal by one's own act so as partially to comply with or acquiesce in a sentence of a court.

PEREMPTORIUS (Lat. from peri mere, to destroy). In Civil Law. That which takes away or destroys forever; hence, cxceptio peremptona, a plea which Is a perpetual bar. See Peremptory. Bract, lib.
