A serious injury is defined by statute in Ohio to be any such injury as shall permanently or temporarily disable a person receiving it from earning a livelihood by manual labor; Ohio L. 1892, 136; and serious bodily injury is held to be one which gives rise to apprehension, or is attended with great danger.
