An abstract or epitome of a writing. Holthouse. The name is usually applied to the famous brief of Mr. Murray (afterwards Lord Mansfield) for the complainant in the case of Penn v. Lord Baltimore, 1 Ves. 444. A copy of the original printed folio is in the Pennsylvania Historical Society and it is reprinted in the Pennsylvania Archives, making volume 16 of the Third Series.
