Ancient House

In the law of estates. A house which has stood so long as to acquire the privilege of support from the land of another adjoining it; so that the owner of the latter cannot excavate his ground to its injury. Jits right of support is a species of easeqaent or priirilege in the lands of another. See J^sement, Support.
