Antrustius.
L. Lat. In early feudal law. A term applied to the followers or dependents of the ancient German chiefs, and of the kings and counts of the Franks. It occurs in the formularies of Marculfus, and imported the same with what was called in the Salic laws, homo in truste dominica, (a man in his lord's trust, or one who had sworn faith to his lord.)
