Burghbrech. [Sax. borhbryce, borgbryce, borhbrece, borhbriche; from borh, or borg, a pledge, and bryce, a breach.] In Saxon law. Breach or violation of pledge, (fidejussionis violatio;) pledge breach, (plegii fractio.) Spelman. The offence of violating the borh, or pledge given by the inhabitants of a tithing.
