Lat. Certain. See Certain, [Id] certnoi est ^aod eertnai ri'ddl p«tcat. That is certain, which can be made certain, or is capable of being reduced to a certainty.

Thus, if a man make a lease to another for so many years as J. S. shall name, it is a good lease for years; for though it is at present uncertain, yet when J. S. has named the years, it is then reduced to a certainty.
