[L.Lat. cam«-a.] A term applied to courts (the Star Chamber, the Exchequer Chamber,) legislative bodies, (Chamber of Peers, Chamber of Deputies,) and other public associations; (Chamber of commerce, &c.) In old English law. A private repository of money; a coffer. See Cam^a, Vhambre.
