[L. Lat. cornagium, from corn Uf a horn.] In old English law. Service of the horn. A kind of tenure in grand serjeanty, the service of which was to blow a horn, when any invasion of the northern enemy [the Scots,] was perceived, [in order to alarm the country.] Termes de la ley. This was a common tenure in the marches of Scotland. Litt. sect.
