Cotage.

Properly, however, a cottage seems to have always had a small portion of land attached to it, (fundi ascriptam portiunculam,) as appears also from the terms cotland, cotsethland, supra.

And now, according to good authority, by the grant of a cottage, a curtilage or garden will pass as included.
