According to Bracton, (fol. 235 b,) a reasonable dieta consisted of twenty miles. Blackstone makes this to be the computation of Sir Matthew Hale, but Hale merely refers to the passage in Bracton, (fol. 235 b,) which Blackstone has not quoted.
