[From Lat. dotalis.] Relating to the marriage portion of a woman; constituting or compnsed in her portion.* Wharton^ s Lex. This word is not properly applicable to dower, the Lat. dotalis from which it is formed being a term of the Roman law, derived from dos in the Roman sense. Dotale proedium; the dotal estate.
