Enquest was the old English form of /nqueetf and is used by Co well. ENROLL [from L. Fr. enrouler; L. Lat. irrotulare.^ In practice. To put in, or on a roll; to write, transcribe or enter on a roll of parchment, or other material. See Holl, Enrouler, To enter on record, as a decree in chancery. 2 Daniel Vs Chanc, Pract. 1220. To record, as a deed. Stat, 27 Hen, VIIL c. 16. Jnroll was an old English form of this word, which is used by Cowell, and adopted by some modem writers.
