Lat. and Eng. [from administrare, q. v.] He who administers, or has a right to administer; he to whom the right of administration has been granted bylaw. See Administer, Administration, In the statute of 31 Edw. III., St. 2, c. 11, by which the law of administration was established, the administrator b called the deputy of the ordinary by whom he was appointed.
