Charter Rolls

Rolls preserved amongst the ancient English records, containing the royal charters from the year 1199 to 1516. They comprise gi-ants of privileges to cities, towns, bodies corporate, and private trading companies; grants of markets, fairs, and free warrens, of creations of nobility, of privileges to religious houses, &c.
