Censo enfitentico

In Spanish and Mexican law. An emphyteutic annuity. That species of censo (annuity) which exists where there la a right to require of another a certain canon or pension annunily, on account of having transferred to that person forever certain real estate, but reserving the fee in the land. The owner who thus transfers the land is called the "censuahsto," and the person who pays the annuity is called the "censatario." Hall, Mex. Law, § 756; Hart v. Burnett, 15 Cal. 557.
