Colorado

One of the United States of America, being the twenty-fifth state admitted into the Union. The territory of which it is composed was ceded by the treaties with France in 1803, and Mexico in 1848. The enabling act was approved March 3, 1875, and the state was finally admitted August 1, 1876. The Constitution was adopted in Convention March 14, 1876, and ratified July 1, 1876. It was amended in 1902. See California; Louisiana. Jan. 22, 1913, article XXI added to the Constitution providing for recall from office of public officials, and section 1, article VI, amended by providing for the recall of decisions and section 6, article XX, amended by giving home rule to cities and towns.
