The act or practice of reducing a corpse to ashes by means of fire. Act Pa. 1891, June 8; P. L. 212. To burn a dead body instead of burying it is not a misdemeanor unless it is so done as to amount to a public nuisance. If an inquest ought to be held upon a dead body it is a misdemeanor so to dispose of the body as to prevent the coroner from holding an inquest; L. R. 12 Q. B. D. 247. In L. R. 20 Ch.
