L General things. Generalia preecedunt, specialia sequnntur: general things precede, special things follow. Generalia specialibns non derogant: general things do not derogate from or a Sect things special. Generalia sunt pra;ponenda singularibus: general things are to be put before particular things. Generalia verba sunt generaliter^ intelligenda: general words are to be understood generally, or in a general sense. Generalibus specialia derogant: special things take from generals.
