In the civil law. A repository; a place of deposit, as of wine, oil, books, etc. Calv. Lex. APPARATOR (Law Lat.) One who furnishes or provides. A sheriff was formerly styled in England apparator comitatus, as having charge of certain county arrangements and expenditures.
