The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary
The form in use by the old English law writers instead of feudum, and having the same meaning. Feudwn is used generally by the more modern writers and by the feudal law writers.

There were various classes of feoda. Feodum militaris or militare, a knight's fee; feodum improprium,, an improper or derivative feud; feodum, proprium, a pure or proper fee; feodum simplex, a fee simple; feodum, talliatum, a fee tail.
