Impotence

In medical jurisprudence. The incapacity for copulation or propagating the species. It has also been used as synonymous with "sterility." The principal use of the term is as a ground of divorce, and as so used it signifies "the irremediable physical incapacity of one of the parties to a marriage for any reasonable sexual connection with the other." 1 Bish.
