Intention (g. v.). That the terms are synonymous, see 2 Jones (N. C.) 414. INTENTIO (Lat.) In Civil Law. The formal complaint or claim of a plaintiff before the praetor. "Reus exceptionem velut intentionem implete"; id est, reus in exceptione actor est, the defendant makes up his plea as if it were a declaration; i. e., the defendant is plaintil Bf in the plea.
