The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary
One indictment brought against two or more offenders, charging the defendants jointly. It may be where there is a joint criminal act, without any regard to any particular personal default or defect of either of the defendants. Thus, there may be a joint indictment against the joint keepers of a gaming house.
