The delivery of possession of lands to those tenants who hold of the king in capita or by knight's service. The name of a writ which lay for the heir of age to obtain possession of the seisin of his lands at the king's bands.

The distinguishing dress worn by the servants of a gentleman or nobleman, or by the members of a particular guild. "Livery or clothing."
