The Cyclopedic Law Dictionary

A lodging house is distinguished from a hotel in that the keeper specially deals with his customers by contracting personally -mth the customer for the nature of the accommodation to be provided, the duration of the stay, and exercises the right to' reject all applicants at his pleasure.
